District Attorney

The Wayne County Office of the District Attorney is staffed by five prosecutors, a chief clerk, four clerks, a victim/witness advocate, three full-time county detectives, and one part-time county detective serving approximately 50,000 residents, and working with Pennsylvania State Police, and state and local law enforcement agencies.  A.G. Howell is a District Attorney.

The Wayne County Office of the District Attorney has the authority to investigate and prosecute crimes that occur in our county.  In each case that we prosecute, the office represents the citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Our goal is to protect all people by aggressively and successfully prosecuting criminal activity in Wayne County while engaging in community-based crime prevention programs. The office participates in quality of life programs such as crime watch, Crime Stoppers, community policing services, law enforcement training, community outreach programs, and task force operations.
